DST's Annual Awards & Welcome Back (non) BBQ

Hello Stingrays families and welcome back to another season! 

We hope that you will join us on Saturday, September 6 from 11 - 2pm at Arbutus Park in Youbou for our pre-season icebreaker where we can all mix -it-up with one another and get excited about hopping back in the pool for another amazing season. This event will be a wonderful opportunity for everyone to share summer stories, catch up and get to know one another a little better. 

At this moment, we are making this an informal get together, potluck style. Please bring a dish of your choosing:

• sandwich platter
• veggie platter
• fruit trays
• salad of your choice
• etc

The following are a few key items to take note of:

1. This is a kid friendly event. Please plan food & drink choices and activities accordingly while in attendance (no glass please!)

2. This is also a GREEN EVENT and we ask that everyone bring their own reusable plates, cups, water bottles and cutlery.

3. Plan to pack your garbage out. It would be a great idea to bring along a garbage bag of your own so that food scraps and plastic can be safely stowed for your car ride home. 

4. Bring a chair so you can sit comfortably while still maintaining social distancing protocols.

5. Swimmer Annual Awards --> we're excited to celebrate the accomplishments of our Swimmers from the season past!

7. Apparel lookie-loos & NEW THIS YEAR: will be a 'boot sale' - get your gear for a discount!  
   1. Members are encouraged to clean out your closets for any team apparel or gear that your swimmer has outgrown, determine a price for the item, and submit to DST Ass't HC Riley

This is going to be a wonderful event and loads of fun. We look forward to seeing everyone there!
